Relief Site Technician including key holding – Casual Contract

Whole year deputy key holder to cover some emergency call outs and absence cover/additional hours when required.

Approximately 4 weeks a year* to cover annual leave of the Senior Site Supervisor for the below duties.

*In term time approximately 10 hours a week – 7.30am–8.30am and 5.30-6.30pm Mon-Fri (Whole Year) The hours of work can be varied during the School holidays – depending on contractors etc, to be negotiated with the Senior Site Supervisor. This can be discussed further with the successful candidate.

Richard Clarke is a small, very popular, caring and inclusive village school in the heart of Abbots Bromley.  We have five single aged classes and a hardworking, dedicated team of staff. We are part of a forward thinking dynamic Uttoxeter Learning Trust.

We are recruiting a relief Site Technician, to provide effective facilities management support to the school, including ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards.

This is a key role in our school, covering and supporting the Senior Site Supervisor to ensure that the school is maintained in a safe and efficient manner in line with quality assurance procedures.

Primarily the role will be providing cover to the Senior Site Supervisor in his duties of carrying out daily janitorial duties, routine testing, maintenance, handy-person activities, securing the school at the start or end of the day. You will undertake planned and reactive site duties to support all school maintenance needs and health and safety requirements.  You will also be expected to attend statutory training.

There will be occasions when flexibility and additional hours will be required to accommodate any evening or special events with parents/carers, pupils and staff e.g. parent evenings, and also lettings and emergency call outs.
