A Viking Invasion: November 2021

Year 4 had a fantastic Viking Day on Monday, 8th November to launch their brand new topic ‘Invaders and Settlers’. A real-life Viking by the name of Astrid arrived at school and even turned the hall into a Langhalla!

From working with bone to textile work, flour making and much more – the Y4 children truly experienced life from the year 860. The day ended with an amazing warrior experience, as children donned spears and shields to march up and down our school field crying as loud as they could.

DID YOU KNOW? Viking Warriors didn’t actually have horns on their helments? Can you think why not?

Check out some photos from the day!
