Mrs Farrington – Senior Teaching Assistant

Hello! My name is Mrs Farrington. I have been a teaching assistant at The Richard Clarke First School for many years but associated with the school for over 40! My four sons attended Richard Clarke and more recently some of my grandchildren. Every working day is a pleasure. The children constantly surprise, teach and uplift me. I can’t imagine my life without the pupils of Richard Clarke First School.

I wear lots of hats but underneath them all is the same person, whether I am Reverend Farrington, Mrs Farrington, Nana Farrington, Lynda or darling I have the same passion and zest for life. If I have any free time you will find me in the garden, walking my dog, reading a book or snuggling my grandchildren.

Mrs Murray – Senior Teaching Assistant

Hello, I’m Mrs Murray I started as a parent helper when my youngest child was in year one. I am now a qualified member of staff after catching the education bug. I love helping children grow and seeing them gain confidence, independence and making sure they enjoy their first taste of school.

When I am not at school I am running around after my three enthusiastic children and our energetic Jackapoo Daisy.

Mrs Johnson

Hello there! I joined the school in September 2016 after working in pre-school for 5 years. My children previously attended the Richard Clarke First School, and so I have been involved with the school for many years. First and foremost as a parent, but also on the PTFA and other volunteering opportunities whilst my children were here. I am delighted to be back as a member of staff.  At home, I spend lots of time with my children, the horses, and a whole host of other animals, including my extremely clever pet cow, Gertie!

Mrs Towns

Hi I’m Mrs Towns and started my Richard Clarke journey back in 2014 when my daughter started in Reception, where I joined the team as a Lunchtime Supervisor and classroom volunteer. More recently I took up a Support Teaching Assistant role in Early Years class which I’m thrilled about and enjoy immensely. It’s a privilege to work in such a wonderfully creative and nurturing environment not only for the children but the staff as well. It’s a real joy to see the children’s enjoyment and progress throughout their school years. My background is in Nursing for 14 years, working in Intensive Care and Cancer Care. I have a passion for antiques so I’m often truffling for vintage treasure at the weekends and sampling caramel latte’s at local farm shops after a brisk walk with Ethel my naughty pugalier!
