Reasons for becoming a Governor:
As an experienced governor in a Secondary School, I have developed the skills and knowledge to support making a school to be the best it can be. Working within the education sector for 17 years in a variety of settings has given me a broad understanding and passion that I want to share within the RCFS community.

Background info: I have worked within Careers Education, Advice and Guidance for nearly 20 years in mainstream secondary school as well as alternative provisions, pupil referral units, SEND schools and within the community. I have also worked as a mentor and youth worker. My current role as Careers Lead sits within the pastoral team and the personal development team including working with safeguarding, PHSE and British values. Throughout all these roles, I have supported young people in developing the skills, knowledge and experiences to ensure they make decisions that help them lead happy and successful lives.
Additional info: I am an avid chef and enjoy cooking new food for friends and family, recently trying out making bread. I love history and visit castles and talks on a variety of historical themes often reading further around the topics I discover. I like to experience new countries and cultures through travel and have taken up learning Greek. I like to attend Yoga to help me relax.
My daughter started RCFS in September 2022 and is enjoying her journey.
