Plastic Fantastic Fashion Show, March 2019
Thank you for your support with the #PassOnPlastic fashion show on Thursday. Not only did it give us the opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of recycling and how to reduce pollution it also created an opportunity for us to be creative and put on our fun show. The children were brilliant and so confident, we were really proud.
It was such a wonderful afternoon and we raised awareness of this great cause to help with the issue of plastic pollution in our oceans. Burton Albion and Billy Brewer commented on how much they enjoyed the visit to our school to join in with raising awareness for this issue. We will be making a small donation from the money raised to the charity Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) that are based in Devon and are devoted to cleaning up our seas.
Well done to Lily, our ex pupil, for running the whole project! Brilliant job.
The money raised (£146.00) will be put together with the disco money to buy a brand new resource called ‘1 decision’ that will help us deliver an improved PSHEe (Personal, social, health, economic education) curriculum.
Thank you again for your co-operation.
Miss Wain

Email from one parent: ‘Thank you so much for the invitation for Mother’s Day lunch. It was so lovely eating with the children. They should all be very proud of how well mannered and behaved they were. A real credit to you and all of your wonderful staff. Please pass on my thank you to the catering team, the food was delicious!’

Year 4 visit Hawkstone Park, March
Year 4 have visited Hawkstone Park near Hodnet, Shropshire as part of their exciting fantasy-fuelled topic Through the Wardrobe.
Hawkstone Park is one the most unusual and unique landscapes in the UK – home to fascinating follies, special trees, grottos and towers. Even facing the typical British weather didn’t put us off! Mud, rain and lots of smiles were the order of the day.
Hopefully, our wonderful visit will inspire the children to write fantasy stories. After all, the BBC chose Hawkstone Park in the late 1980s to film part of their Narnia series.
Check out some of our photo picks from today!
